7 Months

We have arrived at 7 months old! Little miss is becoming such a big girl, we are of course so incredibly proud of her.
I'm not sure where to begin it has been so long since I have written anything. Life is a little hectic, so sitting down to type a blog is harder then I imagined. We are all doing great here though. Little miss (more commonly known as Andi Pants and Midget) is growing like a weed. She is quite possibly the tallest baby around at her age. She has been wearing 12 month clothes (she's been in them since she was 6 months) and towers over other little ones her age. Maybe we have a little basketball star on our hands :D, she is definetly tall and skinny like her daddy. She got her first tooth in a few weeks ago and has conquered sitting up and clapping. She is VERY proud of the fact that she can clap. I love the look of pride on her face when she does it and the adorable smile that comes with it. She is quite a little character. Full of funny noises, and facial expressions and a tongue that will never stay in her mouth. Her newest thing is to yell but it's a whispered yell, so she's yelling but hardly any noise is coming out. Todd thinks it is her way of talking, we will never know. She is definetly going through the "I can't be more then 2 feet away from mommy" stage. A little taxing on me, but it is neat to see her recognizing so many new people and objects around her. She discovered the light on the ceiling above the kitchen table. So now when we eat we spend most of our time looking at the light rather than eating, but at least we're learning. :)
This week hasn't been the greatest week for her, she's definetly ready for it to be over. She got sick on Friday and we are still battling to overcome it. Poor little lady, she is so miserable but tries to be in good spirits. Todd is doing great, he is busy building another spec home. I believe last time I typed he was working on the home at Applewood. They have since finished and sold it, built a garage for the neighbors to the Applewood house and are now working on a new one a few blocks away. He's a busy, busy fella. I'm still at home with Andi Pants, but I've started looking for a job. I've been (kind of) doing real estate still, but it's time for me to get out of the house. I tried being a stay at home mommy so I could enjoy my little angel, but it's just not in my genetic make up. So we'll see what we can find, it nothing great comes along I'll just keep hanging out and growing with the little one, no rush.
We're looking forward to more warm weather, she is definetly going to be an outdoor, barefoot little girl. We've been putting her toys on the back deck and playing in the back yard with the dogs, but it's still a little chilly to be outside to long. The dogs have come to accept little miss. Hemi and her have become pretty good pals, she often lays and kicks the tar out of the poor little guy, pulls his ears and lips etc, but he doesn't care. Her face comes to life when she sees him, it is very adorable. Who would have guessed the world's worst dog would be the baby's favorite thing. Hopefully it's not a sign of what she'll be like, if he is her partner in crime we are in a boat load of trouble. His most recent fiasco he nearly didn't live through. I had put the hamburger on the counter to thaw and ran to the store, he has never bothered anything I had thawing on the counter. So I came home from the store, opened the door and there he was enjoying 2lbs of raw hamburger on our white/cream carpet...not a good day for Hemi. Oakly could really careless about her, he tolerates her to put it best. He doesn't care to have her touching or being near him, I think he's still bitter she took his mommy away. He'll get over it...
That is all I have for today, we hope everyone is doing great and we will keep you posted!
Take care!!

4 Months

Andi turned 4 months on Friday! She had her 4 month check up that day, weighed 15lbs and was 26in long. We are almost into our 6-9 month clothes, hard to believe. We made our first attempt at cereal tonight. I would call it a success. She "ate" about 5 or 6 spoonfuls then decided that was enough. Very proud of her! She is rolling over pretty good now, we realized we are going to have to get the carpet and stairs ready for her soon. Todd spent the weekend tearing apart the staircase. He has them enclosed, just need new carpet and trim. (I make the project sound so simple, he has been working really hard at it and there is a ways to go) But it will look great and be much safer for baby in the end. We did have spaces between each stair, the perfect width for a small little miss to jump through...don't think so.

Andi's Dedication

We've had a lot take place this last month, I try to catch everything on camera but can't upload much to our computer. So I can only show you what I get on my phone or my mom sends me. She learned to roll over, was dedicated on the 7th and rode her first horse on Saturday!!! :) I think it was much more exciting for mom then her. We went a total of about 100yds but she never fussed or squirmed a bit. Just sat there and rode along. I was a ball of emotions, very nervous but so very proud. She rode T.C. the old mare that taught me how to ride. I showed her when she was 19, she is now 30, it was a pretty special...watch out daddy :)

For Halloween we were a monkey...

Fell asleep with the remote...just like Daddy.

Video eating cereal for the first time. Sorry it is sideways

We look forward to the holidays with her, she is so much fun. We have been so blessed. She is so happy and easy going, unless she is hungry...:) We wish you all the best on Thanksgiving!

BUSTED

Andi is becoming known world wide for her crazy hair. It WILL NOT stay down no matter what I try. She discovered the chip bag the other day and was fascinated by it, then looked up as if to say uh oh. She got busted and with her hair she looks like a wild lady! Look out daddy!!!

3 Months

We have a morning baby!! Andi LOVES to talk (more like yell) and I think I finally figured out how to get a video from my phone to the computer. I've been trying for a while. So I hope this works. Little miss definetly takes after her daddy in the mornings. She is always awake with a smile, and most cheerful in the mornings. Nothing like her momma :).

Pictures

For Desiree :)
From our trip to the farmers market.

And I managed to capture a fairly decent smile today. Notice she has dimples...

(9 weeks old)

We had her 2 month appt today. She got great reviews! Weighed in at 11lbs 11oz. And we are making headway to our half marathon. It is Oct 10th, we managed 9.6 miles this morning. She did awesome! Luckily she LOVES being in the stroller. A half marathon is 13.2 miles so we still have some training to do, but I'm awful proud of how well she is doing. Also helps that I have an amazing running partner, love ya Sherri!!

2 Months

Our little girl is growing fast!! Andi will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. Hard to believe sometimes. She has changed so much already, it is so exciting to watch her grow. I think the older she gets the more fun she is. She has definetly mastered the art of smiling. She has a grin that could melt anyones heart, I tried to capture it in the photo but got the ending of it. She is starting to move A LOT and it is hard to take a picture of her that doesn't have some body part flying in it. I can tell that won't be improving any time soon. During her bath last week she almost spun a 180 degree turn, Todd and I were like What?! Since when do you do that!!
She weighs around 11 lbs right now (we know this because they put her on the vegetable scale at a farmers market on our way out to Colorado last weekend). She can focus on pretty much anything, is starting to make whatever face you make at her, and is discovering her hands. She knows they are there, and will put her arm up if she sees something like she is going to touch it, but doesn't yet realize she can. Just a few days ago she started taking interest in her toys on her carseat, it's amazing the difference a few days makes. She LOVES LOVES LOVES being talked too. She will have a conversation with anyone. Just sit in her bouncer or carseat and look at you and smile forever if you are talking to her. Tonight her and I sat on the back deck and played ball with the boys. She sat in her bouncer and I sat in my chair and we talked about all sorts of things ranging from Hemi eating weeds to the beautiful weather. It was a good night.
She hardly seems like the same girl she was 8 weeks ago. The older she gets the more I understand how precious and exciting it is to have a baby. Because they become something amazing, that is why. I never really saw it before she was just a baby, but she wasn't I just didn't understand it. She is a little person. A precious, amazing and wonderful little person.

Andi Lynn Young

Andi is here!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to get this updated. Things have been a little crazy in our house, as to be expected. I never dreamt it would be so hard just to sit down at the computer, but we are finally getting pretty settled in and getting everything figured out. Andi was born Monday July 19th. She was to be induced that day at 7:00am and it just so happened that my water broke at 5:00am. We went ahead and waited until our scheduled time to go in and they started us on the road to getting her here. She was born at 9:33pm and was a whopping 9lbs 9oz. We survived the hospital stay and left for home on Wednesday July 20th. Babyhood has been interesting, you think you know what to expect, but really, you don't have a clue. We've had our ups and downs, only a few sleepless nights, but this week has been a big turning point for all of us. Todd sold his house and FINISHED it yesterday (Thursday), that can easily be named as the burden of the century lifted off of his shoulders. I was able to start going for walks again. Andi and I walked a mile on Tuesday with the dogs, a mile yesterday and 2 miles today. It may sound weird but that was a big burden lifted for me. Never thought you could get such an adrenaline rush from a simple walk. But it showed signs of beginning our life for me. Andi is doing amazing. Truly absolutely amazing. She seems nothing like a newborn. She is so active and alert, I don't know how a baby should be acting at 3 weeks old, but she seems much older that 3 weeks. Todd jokes that since she was a week over due she was in the oven to long and came out over done. We have definetly began to figure each other out, she is a pretty cool little gal. She noticed the ceiling fan at the beginning of the week and looked at the TV on Tuesday. She's also beginning to notice her mobile. I can't wait for the day when she looks at us and smiles. She looks at us now, but just stares with this puzzled look on her face. It is super cute. I think everyday she gets cuter. I'm sure I'll think that forever. I don't feel like I am explaining her well enough, but I don't know how too. We love her to pieces and are very excited to have her here. Here are a few pictures we have. I'm trying to get better about taking more pictures.
